Oregon State Poetry Association 2006 Fall Poetry ContestThe Washington Poets Association, in cooperation with the Oregon State Poetry Association, announces OSPA's 2006 Fall Poetry Contest. The OSPA 2006 Fall Poetry Contest will award $800 in prizes for first, second and third place poems in the following categories:
Honorable mentions will be awarded in all the contests and prize winners will be published in the association’s annual Verseweavers anthology. Judges are chosen from among established Oregon poets, poetry publishers and poetry teachers from Oregon colleges and universities. Money prizes and certificates will be awarded at OSPA's Fall Conference, October 13-14, 2006, in Waldport, OR.
FINE PRINT: Entries must be postmarked on or before August 28, 2006 to be eligible for the contest.
Members pay $1 and nonmembers $4 for each poem entered. Poets interested in entering one or more
of the contests can get a list of the rules by writing to: OSPA is a not-for-profit association whose mission is to bring together and nurture the widest possible community of Oregon poets; to help Oregon poets young and old develop their talents and skills; to stimulate, at the grass roots level, a statewide appreciation of poetry; and to raise public awareness of Oregon poets, past and present. |
